Robert Miller serves as the Managing Attorney of Charitable Allies, leading the team in providing excellent legal services and education for nonprofits nationwide. For nearly a decade, Robert Miller has served nonprofits as their trusted legal counsel and advisor. His extensive experience in complex aspects of nonprofit law includes a $45 million dollar merger of nonprofits, legal advice on compliance and program-related investments for a $65 million dollar multi-entity nonprofit, restructuring and succession planning for large multi-site churches, and advising on partnerships between nonprofits and for-profits for large scale community projects. But Robert is also a big believer that even the smallest nonprofits can make a massive impact in peoples’ lives and deserve excellent legal counsel. He enjoys helping clients who are tackling community problems in innovative ways– whether it’s an organization using mobile showers to help the homeless or a research organization looking to treat a disease in a new way.
He leads our team of experienced nonprofit attorneys in serving our nonprofit clients nationwide. Robert leads with an immense depth of knowledge, as well as a passion for serving nonprofits who otherwise couldn’t afford legal services.
Robert lives in Plainfield with his wife, two children and their dog. Robert is also a board game enthusiast who enjoys a wide variety of tabletop games.
